Defeitos de desenvolvimento de esmalte não hereditários na dentição decídua como indicador de eventos negativos de vida. Uma revisão sistemática

Objetivo: O presente estudo tem por objetivo realizar uma revisão sistemática para determinar a prevalência de defeitos de esmalte (DDE) na dentição decídua e a sua associação com eventos negativos de vida precoce. Métodos: A revisão sistemática que seguiu o PRISMA statement. A busca foi padronizada sem restrições de ano de publicação ou idiomas nas bases de dados PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Science Direct, EBSCO, Scielo e Google Acadêmico. Estudos observacionais populacionais que avaliaram a presença de DDE não hereditários, intercorrências na gestação, parto e primeiros anos de vida de crianças até os 6 anos de idade foram incluídos. A seleção dos artigos foi realizada por duas revisoras treinadas, de forma independente e usando critérios de elegibilidade. Resultados: A prevalência média dos defeitos de esmalte na dentição decídua foi de 41,3%. A maioria dos defeitos foram opacidades (61,1%) demarcadas (45%), estando 66,7% localizados nos incisivos. Na amostra, 95% dos estudos encontraram associação entre a presença de defeitos de esmalte e eventos negativos precoces de vida, destes, 57,9% estiveram associados a intercorrências durante o parto, como parto prematuro e baixo peso ao nascer, 42,1% foram durante os primeiros anos de vida incluindo desnutrição e falta de amamentação e 26,3% durante a gestação como infecções, doenças durante a gestação e baixo peso intrauterino do bebê. Conclusão: A prevalência de defeitos de esmalte não hereditários na dentição decídua é alta e esteve associada a eventos negativos precoces de vida, especialmente durante o parto e nos primeiros anos de vida da criança.Downloads
